Fallen Heroes Memorial
The Fallen Heroes Memorial installation will honor San Mateo community servicemembers, police, and firefighters who have died in the line of duty.
We've met our initial goal, but due to rising construction costs, we will continue to accept donations. The City of San Mateo graciously thanks our donors and sponsors for their generous contributions. We are looking forward to bring the memorial to life.
The Fallen Heroes Memorial will include a number of monoliths etched with the names of community members and City employees who lost their lives in the line of duty. When aligned, the monoliths form the shape of the iconic Remembrance Poppy (as shown below). Visit our About the Memorial page to learn more about the memorial design.
Recognize a Fallen Hero
Community members may submit an application to have the name of their fallen loved ones placed on the memorial.
Make a Donation
Funds raised will contribute to the design and construction costs of the Fallen Heroes Memorial. Sponsorship packages are available starting at $5,000.
