2025 Season Timeline:
Registration opens Monday, August 4, 2025
League Registration Fees: $142
Last day to Register: Friday, November 21, 2025
Waitlist: The number of teams is determined by the number of registered players, volunteer coaches, as well as facility limitations. If the league is full, it is encouraged to sign up for the waiting list. If spots and coaches become available, the waiting list will be notified.
Withdrawal Deadline: Wednesday, December 31, 2025 (last day for a full refund)

Practice Begin: Week of January 19, 2026
Tip-Off/Season Opener: Saturday, February 7, 2026

Junior Warriors Basketball League Rules
Volunteer Coaches Needed!
Interested in coaching in our Junior Warriors Basketball League? We are looking for volunteers to dedicate their time to help coach and teach the fundamental skills of basketball, as well as important traits such as teamwork, responsibility, good sportsmanship, and hard work. The time frame and commitment for coaches is a once a week practice for one hour and a Saturday game at San Mateo High School.
If interested, please come into the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, or call (650) 522-7436, or email Sukh Thind, Recreation Coordinator, at sthind@cityofsanmateo.org. All volunteer coaches must complete a volunteer application, be fingerprinted, and attend mandatory coaches meetings before the start of the season.
Coach Information:
Coaches Meeting: More details to come, please check back for information on the 2025 season. All volunteer head coaches must attend the coaches meeting. Any volunteer unable to make it to a coach's meeting will not be eligible to be a head coach.
All coaches must be fingerprinted and TB tested by Monday, December 22, 2025.
