Thousands of movies, TV shows, music albums and audiobooks to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to a smartphone, tablet, or computer. In order to ensure access for all San Mateo Public Library cardholders, each card is limited to 5 borrows per month. Accounts reset at the beginning of the month and are eligible for “bonus borrows” during the last week of each month.

Enjoy more than 30,000 independent, international, classic, or documentary films through Kanopy.   Create an account, download the app, and watch them on your smartphone, tablet, PC or smart TV.  You get 30 tickets each month to watch films; the amount of tickets each film requires varies.  The loan period for most titles is 48 or 72 hours.
