2024 Family Fun Ride and Bike Rodeo

This year's event took place on September 7, 2024 from 10am-12pm at Bayside Academy (2025 Kehoe Avenue).

Bring your bike/scooter, helmet, and the whole family and get ready for a morning of bike-related activities such as:

  • A kid-friendly bicycle safety course to learn the rules of the road
  • Helmet fitting
  • Bicycle safety check
  • Test drive an electric bike (adults only)
  • A short bike ride around the neighborhood led by our own San Mateo Police Department
  • Opportunities to win cool prizes
  • Face painting
  • Glitter tattoo artist
  • Live DJ music

Event Schedule

9:45am Check-in/Registration begins

10:00am - 12:00pm Bike rodeo, bike blender, bike repair, helmet fittings and helmet giveaway, DJ, balloon artist, face painting, community partner resources

11:15-11:40am Family Fun Group Bike Ride, led by San Mateo Police personnel

12:00pm Event ends
