What are the signs and symptoms of a stroke? Stroke is a disease that affects the arteries leading to and within the brain, and is the number five cause of death and a leading cause of long-term disability in the United States. Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of a stroke, which can save a life and limit severity of stroke. This program is presented by Susan Peloquin, RN, in conjunction with the Pacific Stroke Association. Registration is required.
Join other writers in a supportive and social group for writers of all kinds every Thursday evening at the San Mateo Public Library. Whether you write for personal, professional, or other reasons, come prepared to work. This is not a critique or sharing group, but you are welcome to discuss your work during check-in time between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. Writing is solitary, and this meeting is a chance to connect, and sometimes commiserate with other writers. Come late and leave early if you need to and bring a charged laptop as outlets are limited. California Writers Club-SF Peninsula Branch facilitate these weekly meetings. Meeting rooms will vary so please email Cynthia McCarthy at firstname.lastname@example.org for notifications and updates.
Join us for Storytime in the Park. No registration will be required! Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10:30am. We may be in full sun, so please dress appropriately. Masks encouraged but not required for fully vaccinated attendees.
