Monika Ellis is a Bay Area self-taught fiber artist. Originally from Canada, she enjoyed working with all forms of artistic mediums from a young age. After arriving in the Bay Area and starting a family, she wanted to express her new motherhood experiences through art, and fiber was the perfect medium in both form and function. The pieces are inspired by the beauty of the Western coastline, with themes of growth, evolution, and rebirth. Her work combines traditional woven art patterns, organic shapes, and at times, whimsical elements. Instagram: @loomerystudios **Display Case, 2nd Floor**

This is not a critique or sharing group, but you are welcome to discuss your work during check-in time between 6:30pm - 7pm Writing is solitary, and this meeting is a chance to connect, and sometimes commiserate with other writers. Come late and leave early if you need to, and bring a charged laptop as outlets are limited. The meeting room varies.
