PA-2018-064 / 2208 Bridgepointe Parkway, SPAR
Site Plan and Architectural Review (SPAR) to construct a 9,819 square-foot restaurant on a 17,184 square-foot lot. The proposal includes demolition of the existing 6,674 square-foot restaurant (Mimi’s Café). The new one-story restaurant will measure 25 feet in height at its highest peak. Building materials will consist primarily of stone veneer cladding, Portland plaster cement, wood paneling, and steel posts and braces. The project complies with the Bridgepointe Master Plan and applicable Zoning Code requirements.

PA-2019-030 / 900 Bromfield Road, Parking Variance

PA-2019-030 / 900 Bromfield Road, Parking Variance
Building Permit BD2017-263473 was issued for an addition and remodel to the existing single-family residence in October of 2017. During construction it was determined the proposed driveway to serve the additionally required off-street parking space would require grading that would detrimentally impact the root structure and stability of the 23.3-inch Deodar Cedar heritage tree adjacent to the new driveway. The requested variance from the additional parking requirement specified in San Mateo Municipal Code Section 27.64.160 (1)(a) for single-family dwellings between 3,000-3,749 square feet in floor area will allow preservation of the existing heritage tree.
