Greywater

Join the City of San Mateo for a two-part Greywater Workshop with Laura Allen.

Part 1:  Greywater 101:

Learn how to save water while keeping your landscape green.
This presentation will teach you about popular greywater systems, their costs, capabilities, water saving potential, what plant friendly products to use, and code requirements.

Part 2:  Design your Own Laundry-to-Landscape System

Laundry-to-landscape systems redirect water from your washing machine into the landscape. Properly designed systems don't change your plumbing nor require a permit. Learn how to design your own system and build a mock-up one using real parts.
Bring photographs of your laundry room and your landscape to get design help!

When:   Saturday, June, 23rd
Where:  San Mateo Library, 55 East 3rd Avenue, Oak Room
Time:     9:30am-12:30pm
