Plant a fall vegetable garden!

Join us on Saturday, September 23 from 2:00pm-3:30pm for a practical class designed to give first-time home gardeners hands-on knowledge to successfully plant a fall veggie garden.

Learn how to grow vegetables that do well in the San Mateo area, build a versatile raised bed, determine water needs, create ideal soil mixtures, grow seedlings, protect your plants from pests, and much more.

Workshop presented by Master Gardener Gaye Torjusen of the UC Master Gardeners of San Mateo & San Francisco. Gaye has over 40 years of experience growing vegetables in the Bay Area, and maintains a year-round vegetable garden which supplies produce for her family and friends. 

This free workshop is held in the Oak Room at the San Mateo Library.
