One-Day Opportunity

Team Up to Clean Up - Monthly Cleanup

The Team Up to Clean Up's next scheduled cleanup is taking place on Saturday, November 20th from 8:00am – 10:00am. The location is still to be determined, but will take place in San Mateo. If you are interested in joining, please register online on our Volunteer Site.

Ongoing Opportunities

San Mateo Arboretum Society

Do you love plants, flowers, or the outdoors? If so, the San Mateo Arboretum Society has several volunteer opportunities available. Volunteers provide the work for all our activities and functions, and help is always welcome with the following:

Plant propagation and care, and customer service in the Garden Center
Ongoing care of the Rose Garden
Preparation for public educational workshops and seminars
Community Outreach activities
Participation in teams for special functions, such as the Annual Garden Tour
Office/administrative activities (mailings, filing, etc.)

HIP Housing

Human Investment Project Housing (HIP Housing) is a non-profit organization based in San Mateo County that specializes in affordable and creative housing solutions. Each year, HIP Housing helps 1,400 people find housing or keep their homes through our Home Sharing, Self Sufficiency, and Property Development Programs. Volunteers are an important part of HIP Housing’s organization. We have several opportunities available. Most opportunities are available Monday thru Friday.
