Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF)
The Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) will provide emergency assistance for restaurants, bars, coffee stores and other food related businesses impacted by COVID-19. The $28.6 billion is part of the American Rescue Plan stimulus signed by President Biden on March 11, 2021. Qualified restaurants will receive funds up to $10 million per business with no more than $5 million per physical location. Funds must be used for allowable expenses by March 11, 2023. The funds are grants that will not have to be repaid.
For the first three weeks the RRF program is open, the Small Business Administration will prioritize funding applications from businesses owned and controlled by women, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals including Hispanic, Black, Native American, and Asian American and Pacific Islander -owned business. The program is focused on reaching small and under-served businesses. This is a first come, first served application process.
