First Round of Small Business COVID-19 Grants open December 30th
"The 'California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program' provides micro grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to eligible small businesses and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19 and the related health and safety restrictions.
On November 30, 2020, Governor Newsom and the State Legislature announced the allocation of $500 million to the Program to be administered by the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA) at the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development."
Applications for Round 1 opens on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 8:00 AM and closes on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:59 PM.
Paycheck Protect Program – Reopening in early January 2021
Congress approved an additional $284 billion for the Paycheck Protect Program (PPP). The 2nd round of PPP funds will be available to both first time borrowers as well as borrowers who have previously received a PPP loan. The SBA will be opening applications in early January 2021.
