Your Council, Your Vote - Hear from San Mateo Candidates on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020
Join the League of Women Voters for a live virtual San Mateo City Council Candidate Forum on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.
City of San Mateo voters are encouraged to submit questions and hear from the local residents running to serve their community. There are three candidates vying for two seats on the City Council during the upcoming Nov. 3, 2020 Presidential Election. The two with the most votes will serve a 4-year term. The candidates include Lisa Diaz Nash, Amourence Lee and Diane Papan. Learn more about the candidates on our Elections web page.
While much attention is on the national election stage, don’t forget to VOTE LOCAL! Your City Council members represent your interests on a variety of local issues from land use policies like housing development, to funding priorities such as how much to spend improving local parks.
Participate & Submit Questions
The League of Women Voters is hosting the candidate forum and questions can asked during the live event, or emailed in advance to: lwvncsmc.questions@gmail.com with “City of San Mateo Council Race” in the subject line.
