Volunteers at Senior Center

Movie Discussion Leader:

Do you love movies? If so, this opportunity is perfect for you! The Senior Center is looking for movie lovers to provide a summary of the movie before the showing on Thursdays at the Senior Center’s Movie Daze & Discussion. The summary and facilitation discussion will begin at 12:50pm. To apply, please visit our Citywide Volunteer Online Application.

Sunshine Coordinator:

The Senior Center is looking for someone who enjoys writing hand-written letters. This volunteer opportunity is super flexible—you can write letters remotely and at any time of the day! The hand-written letters are for community members who would enjoy receiving a heartwarming letter during a time of need, such as when they are sick, grieving, or celebrating a birthday. If this sounds like a perfect fit, please visit our Citywide Volunteer Online Application to apply.

Japanese Garden Ambassador:

Are you a fan of the Japanese Garden in Central Park? If so, this is your chance to show your community the love and appreciation you have for the garden. The Japanese Garden Ambassador will welcome patrons and answer questions patrons may have. We are looking for volunteers interested in helping for about 1-2 hours on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. If you are interested, please visit our Citywide Volunteer Online Application to apply.
