The Marina Branch Library temporarily closed on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Construction will last approximately 16 months.
The Marina Branch Restoration Project includes essential improvements to ensure the safety and longevity of the facility:
- Foundation & structural repairs
- Mechanical, electrical, & plumbing upgrades
- Accessibility improvements
- Newly updated interior
- Relocated deck
During Marina Branch Library’s temporary closure, the following libraries will be open:
- Main Library - 55 W. 3rd Ave. San Mateo, CA 94402
- Hillsdale Library - 205 W. Hillsdale Blvd. San Mateo, CA 94403
- Foster City Library - 1000 E. Hillsdale Blvd. Foster City, CA 94404
Shoreview Recreation Center (950 Ocean View Ave. San Mateo, CA 94401) is a temporary location for holds pickup only. The hours are Thursday 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
