COVID-19 Case Increases Prompt Further Restrictions
Due to a rise in COVID-19 cases, Gov. Gavin Newsom on Nov. 16 announced many counties will have to rollback reopening with further restrictions in place for business and personal activities. San Mateo County is in the red tier of the State's Blueprint for a Safer Economy, noting there is a "substantial" risk of COVID-19. Many businesses are required to modify operations. Visit the State's COVID-19 website to search for the current status of what is allowed. Visit the California Department of Public Health's website for more details about what data is being evaluated.
Please remember you are required to wear face coverings when in public at businesses, waiting in line, at medical facilities, and on public transit. You should still maintain social distancing at all times. You must wear face coverings when outdoors recreating if social distancing cannot be maintained. Review the County’s Reopening page for more information.
