Going Zero Waste

Saturday, April 20, 2019

What is zero waste? The simple definition is to send nothing to the landfill but the more complex and accurate description is about redefining the system. Every year, we consume more resources than the earth can sustainably regenerate in one year, but there are actions that we can take to reduce our footprint. One way is to try to live a zero waste lifestyle and focus on buying only what we really need. Kathryn Kellogg breaks zero waste living down into a super simple step-by-step process. Come to this workshop to learn how you can make realistic lifestyle changes and reduce your footprint. We will also make a simple house cleaner that you can take home with you! **Oak Room, First Floor**

About the speaker: Kathryn Kellogg is a Zero Waste expert and recent author of 101 Ways to Go Zero Waste

This event is part of the San Mateo Public Library and City of San Mateo Earth Day series. All events are free but
registration is required so that we can plan accordingly.
