Who should I contact in case of a complaint or concern?
If there is an emergency, dial 911.  If it is a non-emergency or you want to discuss a complaint or concern, contact the Park Rangers at (650) 522-7485 during regular operation hours.  The Rangers patrol the parks from 6:00am to one half hour after dark.  The office hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Where is the location of the Ranger’s Station?
The Ranger’s Station is located in Seal Point Park, 1901 J. Hart Clinton Drive.

Where am I allowed to have my dog off leash?
The City of San Mateo offers two separate off leash areas in Seal Point Park, both located at 1901 J. Hart Clinton Drive (at 3rd Avenue).  Small dogs may use the North (smaller) area and big dogs may use the South (larger) area.

How do I reserve a picnic area or an athletic field?
You may call our reservation office at (650) 522-7434, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm You can also reserve a picnic area online.

How do I find out if a field has been closed due to adverse weather?
You may call the City of San Mateo field condition hotline at (650) 522-7439.

How do I obtain a map of the parks in San Mateo?
You may stop by any City of San Mateo Recreation Center for a map, send an email to the Park Rangers at e-mail, or call us at (650) 522-7485.
