Eggstravaganza - 38th Anniversary Event

City of San Mateo Parks and Recreation Department’s signature springtime community event and largest “egg hunt” in its 39th year of existence will be attended by hundreds of excited children and families eagerly searching for eggs in beautiful Central Park.

Back again this year:
By clicking the link below you can pre-purchase your child’s wristband for $3 for what egg hunt time you want to participate in.  Wristbands are only needed for the 4-9yr. old egg hunts.  None needed for Peter Rabbit’s pre-school hunt area.

Only a small portion are available for pre-purchase, all remaining wristbands are available for FREE at the event.

Large Egg Hunts (4-9 yrs)
We will offer 9 different egg hunts throughout the day. Scheduled Egg Hunts: 9am, 9:30am, 10am, 10:30am, 11am, 11:30am, 12pm and 12:30pm, 1pm
9:00am - 1:00pm Purchase desired timeslot for $3 at cityofsanmateo.org/parksand recreation or get remaining wristbands at event for FREE
Community Parade
Bring your wheels, floats, dress up and join us! Registration on-site.

Central Park is served by both Routes 390 and 391, which stop at the intersection of Fifth Avenue (northbound) as well as Fourth Avenue (southbound) and El Camino Real.  Route 292 stops three blocks away from the park at North B Street and Fourth Avenue and Route 250  stops one block from the park at San Mateo Drive and Fourth Avenue.
