Our Senior Center hosts a vibrant mix of activities.  On any given day at the Senior Center, there can be a dozen things happening from yoga classes to a history seminar, from bingo to billiards or mahjong.

If you are 50+, we encourage you to visit us.  Once you visit, we’re sure you’ll find a reason to come back.

Regular Senior Center Programming:

Every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm. (Doors open at 1:30pm) and 
2nd and 4th Friday from 2pm to 4pm. (Doors open at 1:30pm)

Book Discussion Group
The Book discussion group meets at the San Mateo Senior Center on 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am. Feel free to join us. No pre-registration required. Drop-ins welcome. If you are interested visit the  reading list.

Computer/Technology Classes
Demystify computers. The San Mateo Activity Guide has the latest details on our computer/technology classes. 

Arm Chair Travel
Learn about wonderful destinations through video clips every Friday at 1:15pm.

Movie Daze
Enjoy a movie with your friends. For this month's movies visit our  Lunch/Activity Monthly Schedule 

Drop In Billiards
Every Monday from 12pm -2:30pm you can sharpen your game.

Opinion Exchange with Jim Dunbar 
Join the former KGO Radio Host on the first Thursday of every month at 11am for a lively discussion on current events.

On Fridays from 9am-10:15am, you can reconnect with the musician inside of you with the help of our band volunteer leading the way.

On Fridays from 10:30am - 11:30am, you can sing away with other people who love music.

World Current Events
On Fridays from 1:30pm - 3:30pm, join Eric Gattman, former professor on current events, as he leads a lively dialogue on today’s world events.

Our trips run the gamut from local day visits to places like Filoli Gardens and Indian Casinos to longer destination trips to far off places like Greece and Panama.  Ask us about upcoming excursions.
