  • 12+ neighborhood parks 
  • 9 larger community parks
  • 6 recreation/community centers
  • 2 pools
  • Shoreline regional park system 
  • small “mini” parks
  • an estuary lagoon for boating
  • and the Poplar Creek 18 hole Golf Course

Our parks are important natural resources, providing approximately 200 acres of open space within the City and many miles of paths and trails. Every one of them is free and widely accessible.

Did You Know?
Laurelwood and Sugarloaf Mountain Parks are home to the only three plants that the endangered Mission Blue Butterfly will lay eggs on. Without habitats like these parks, the Mission Blue Butterfly would become extinct.
