San Mateo Best Food
In October 2013 the City of San Mateo was named Best Small Town for Food by Rand McNally in the Rand McNally Best of the Road Competition. With more than 300 restaurants and food specialty stores featuring food from around the globe, the City has taken full advantage of this award by creating the brand San Mateo Best Food. We are actively marketing San Mateo as a food and dining destination. Visit San Mateo Best Food
to explore our food and dining scene.
The City of San Mateo wants and encourages all segments of the community to get involved in the decisions being made by City officials. To make this easier and to provide options for those living and working in San Mateo, the City has established many traditional and non-traditional methods to encourage higher levels of community involvement. Community workshops, collaborative art projects, events, our monthly Taste and Talk Speaker Series
and our online platform San Mateo Town Hall
are just a few of the ways the City seeks input from the community. Participate in any of these methods to start sharing your ideas today.
