- The project consists of the demolition of the former Blu and White Laundry building, and the construction of a new two-story, approximately 12,500 sq ft building with 25 on-site parking spaces and relocation of an on-street loading zone. The applicant proposes to relocate the current Mi Rancho Market from across the street to the new building.  The project includes proposed easement dedications to the City and Mi Rancho.   1. Mitigated Negative Declaration to Assess Environmental Impacts.
  2. Site Plan and Architectural Review for the construction of a new two-story building with on-site parking, landscaping, relocation of an on-street loading zone, and easement dedications.

The project site is comprised of multiple parcels totaling approximately 23,000 sq ft. The site is located in downtown San Mateo and is generally bounded by Tilton Avenue to the north, Railroad Avenue to the east, First Avenue to the south, and South B Street to the west.  The surrounding context includes commercial and multifamily residential uses to the north, east and west; and commercial uses to the south.  Additionally, the Downtown Caltrain Station and San Mateo Creek are located south of the project site.  The project site is zoned C1-2/R5 (Neighborhood Commercial with a High-Density Residential Overlay).
